All phases of our marina renovation are now complete including all new docks and marina amenities. Visitors to the marina can choose from a variety of watersports activities, boat rentals, and nature tours. For those in search of the best dining on the island, you’ve come to the right place. We’re Fully Operational
We are excited to have completed our multi-phase restoration project at Palmetto Bay Marina. All of the facilities have been fully renovated including docks, wifi, integrated power supply, showers/restrooms, fueling stations, patio areas, and more. We’re seeing lots of boats from the loop this season making their way to the island for great weather and a slow-paced attitude. Palmetto Bay Marina is only 1/2 mile from the Intracoastal Waterway, located in the heart of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. We can easily accommodate vessels up to 150+ feet.
Splash on a Mini-Boat
From dolphin and kayak tours, to pirate excursions and mini-boats, Lowcountry Watersports is your one-stop shop this Summer in Hilton Head for all of your outdoor activities and Lowcountry family water adventures. Their experienced guides will assist you and your family with any sized party, or private excursion from Palmetto Bay Marina. With advanced reservations, guests can access mini-boats, Creek Cats, paddleboards, and Jet-skis for adventures in and around Broad Creek and tidal waters.

Get ready to be “fun and festive” at The Hurricane Bar this Summer! We have an amazing lineup of local and regional live bands this season at Palmetto Bay Marina, Hilton Head for Music in the Marina! Guests can dine on the patio, inside, or at the bar for their favorite drinks and appetizers. Happy hour daily from 4-7pm. Come try a Fat Tuesday-style frozen daiquiri and enjoy local live music under the moss-draped oaks.
This whole scene in the heart of Palmetto Bay Marina is loved by locals and visitors alike for the biggest live music series, full marina with watersports, and the signature drink, The Hurricane. Sail right on up on your boat as this is one of the very few “dock & dine” spots on the island.

Across the patio at The Carolina Crab Company, guests will find a bounty of traditional seafood with a creative flair, from light and healthy to Southern fried. Guests can dine inside or enjoy breezy outdoor seating on their pet-friendly patio.
Carolina Crab Company offers excellent seafood in one of the original fishing marinas of Hilton Head. The main dining room at Carolina Crab Company pays homage to the history of Palmetto Bay Marina. They use reclaimed materials from the marina and display many authentic prints of the marina’s history.

Palmetto Bay Sunrise Cafe is a casual cafe, open for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. They are dog-friendly, have a full bar, and like the other restaurants, offer guests a choice of inside or patio dining. After 18 years of local favorites, they still serve Hilton Head’s best breakfast all day with popular items like biscuits n’ gravy and quiche. Guests can now “Dock and Dine” at Palmetto Bay Marina. After a day on the water, or for an evening out with family and friends, Palmetto Bay Marina is the perfect place to tie up and go have dinner. “Why not make it breakfast or brunch?”, says Leslie Stewart, Owner of Palmetto Bay Sunrise Cafe. “Early birds can start their beautiful Lowcountry day with a real sunrise experience.”
The marina’s convenient south-end location on Broad Creek, makes for an easy boat ride to enjoy a cocktail or a delicious meal at Palmetto Bay. The marina has designated 400 ft. of dock space just for Dock & Dine boaters. Please call ahead for availability.
